Maryam (AS): A Story of Strength and Submission

She was not a wife. Her father had passed away, and her mother had prayed for a son.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, ladies!

Meet Maryam (AS), the only woman whose name is mentioned in the Qur’an. She was known for her constant submission to Allah SWT and went through a test like no other woman of her time.

Her story reminds us that true honour comes not from who our family is, but from our own faith and deeds.

“It doesn’t matter who your husband or father is… on the Day of Judgement, it is your deeds that will matter.” - Dr Haifaa Younis.

InshaAllah, we will reflect on her strength, patience, and qualities that continue to inspire Muslim women today.

After the talk, unwind with a Dates & Cake Decorating session, where you can get creative, connect with sisters, and enjoy something sweet in good company.
